San Jose Sharks Weekly Roundup
Well, it’s official. Hockey is back and the San Jose Sharks were quite impressive during their opening two games of the 2015-16 season. The Sharks let their two division rivals know that this year’s outfit in teal is quite different than last year’s team. San Jose made an opening statement in dispatching the Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks, whom many pundits had predicted to win the Pacific Division.

– It was all there for San Jose as they had a national TV audience on the opening night of hockey. Martin Jones was in net, facing his former teammates, and though he was beaten on the first shot he faced in teal, the Sharks responded in resounding fashion. San Jose scored five unanswered goals in cruising to a 5-1 win over Los Angeles which was a welcome sight for any Sharks fan.

– After dismantling the Kings on opening night, San Jose returned to the Bay Area for their home opener and what a matchup as the Sharks hosted the Ducks. San Jose dominated the season series with Anaheim last year, winning four out of the five games. They continued that trend as Jones and Patrick Marleau led San Jose to a 2-0 victory.
